About Me

I opened my practice in Santa Barbara in 2005.  Prior to that, I had a private practice in Boston, MA.  My background also includes working in university psychological services centers, a day treatment program specializing in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient hospital clinics, and a psychiatric emergency room.  In these settings I have worn a variety of hats: therapist, supervisor, director, researcher, teacher, speaker, and board member.  I bring the wisdom of everything learned from these experiences to every session I spend with my patients.  I also bring myself.  I truly enjoy what I do because I respect and want to help the person sitting across from me.
